Typically it can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks before your skin gets used to a new medicine and you start to see the positive effects.  This is because it takes time for the new skin cells to replace the old ones.

During this time some irritation is common, but there are some things you can do to limit the irritation:

  1. We highly recommend reviewing all the products you use and simplify your regimen as much as possible.  Often times, people think that if they try everything, something will work.  Washing/exfoliating/layering too often with harsh products loaded with many ingredients often times cause more problems than they solve.

    Less is more
when it comes to keeping skin less irritated and decreasing breakouts, redness, or poor skin tone.
  2. Wash your face with a mild cleanser in the morning and at night time.
  3. Protect yourself from the sun with a SPF 30+ sunscreen.
  4. Use a light, acne-free moisturizer regularly throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated.

NOTE: Since all our skincare is custom-made, we can adjust the ingredients in your formulation based on your feedback.  This is a huge advantage of our service because everyone's skin is different. There is no one-size-fits-all skincare routine or Rx Skincare treatment.
